As a Human Resources Assistant, you will be mainly responsible in screening applications, scheduling interviews, and conducting research to locate potential job candidates. Another important part of the role is acting as the liaison between HR and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Handle initial phone screening for driver applications
- Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews
- Assisting with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties
- Providing clerical and administrative support to Human Resources Manager
- Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
- Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, etc.)
- Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
- Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonuses, leaves, etc.)
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by the management team.
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- Proven experience as an HR Assistant, Staff Assistant, or relevant human resources/administrative position
- Fast computer typing skills (MS Office, in particular)
- Basic knowledge of labor laws
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong communications skills
- Degree in Human Resources or a related field
